For this assignment I had to report and edit a mini documentary-style multimedia package. The biggest challenge in this story was making the interviews carry the entire story along with b-roll and a musical element in the background.
I chose to report on the versatility of Newport’s Edward King House.
This story is a blog-style package for a college travel blog highlighting the best places to visit if you only have 36 hours in Newport. This Videolicous “listicle” includes a standup and signoff, and three must-sees around the city for college students.
This story is a video news report/news package. In creating the package, I had to report on a campus event, and it had to include a standup and signoff, lower thirds, b-roll with voice-over, as well as soundbites from two people. I chose to report on Salve Regina’s annual Viennese Ball. This story includes the making of the ball as well as the highlights of the night.
For this assignment I created a NPR-Style audio story using the application Audacity. I had to report, record and produce a 1.30-2.00 minute story for radio. The story consists solely of two voices and ambient sound. I chose to report on Salve Regina’s multicultural office, and its ability to create a home-like atmosphere for students here on campus.
